|This comprehensive diabetes self-management program is designed to help participants self-manage their diabetes by learning strategies and tools that can increase overall health and wellness. Through discussion, reflection and the support of others, lifestyle changes can be accomplished and lead to a better quality of life. With this series of classes you will have an opportunity to:
- 1. Understand diabetes and how it affects your overall health.
- 2. Overcome behavior change challenges associated with diabetes as it relates to nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress.
- 3. Learn the proper tools and techniques of how to successfully manage your diabetes while working with a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
- 4. Decrease your risk of complications through understanding and prevention.
