Ombudsman fair emphasizes prominent resources at annual gathering

SAN DIEGO — The annual Commander, Navy Region Southwest Ombudsman Resource Fair, hosted by Naval Base San Diego’s Fleet and Family Service Center, was beaming with representatives from various organizations eager to enlighten ombudsmen and command leaders alike of services geared at solidifying a command’s welfare foundation, Aug. 31.

Giving Sailors something to smile about

SAN DIEGO — Two Sailors with failing dentition aboard aircraft carriers were restored with 3D-printed teeth.

Attendees at the annual Southern California Medical Service Corps (MSC) Symposium gather for a group photo Aug. 26. MSC officers were treated to a resounding tone of inspiration from leaders and motivated to get prepared for a dynamic and exciting time that lies ahead for the community. NMRTC San Diego's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMRTC employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
