Breast Cancer

At Naval Medical Center San Diego we are committed to fighting breast cancer every step of the way. Each woman has a unique journey and our multidisciplinary (MDC) team offers individualized treatment care plans. Our MDC team is comprised of fellowship trained surgical oncologists, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists.

Nurse Navigator

The Breast Nurse Navigator works within multidisciplinary teams to provide quality care to patients with breast cancer. The navigator proactively collaborates with physicians, technicians, nurses, and other team members to provide guidance and quality care to women diagnosed with breast cancer. The navigator serves as a resource to breast cancer patients and their families by educating patients concerning what can be expected prior to, during and after diagnosis and treatment.

Tumor Board

Every woman diagnosed with breast cancer has an individualized treatment care plan. This plan is developed by our team of specialists after a detailed review and discussion of the best way to treat your cancer.
