The mission of the Optometry Department is to deliver comprehensive, mission-ready eye care to active duty service members, ensuring optimal visual performance in support of operational readiness.

We are committed to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and the education and training of future optometrists and ophthalmology residents. Through our network of clinics, we provide accessible, high-quality optometric services across the San Diego region.

We are currently unable to see retirees or dependents in our clinics.

In case of emergency during clinic hours (M-F 0700-1600), please call (619) 532-5840 and a technician will assist you in determining the proper course of action.
In case of emergency after hours, please visit the NMCSD Emergency Room.
