Prosthetics
About the Clinic
The Prosthetic/IDEO Clinic provides custom made prostheses and orthoses for service members who have sustained a traumatic injury resulting in amputation and/or limb salvage. Using state of the art advanced limb technology for design and fitting, fully individualized prosthetic and IDEO devices are created and fabricated in our laboratory. These services are provided by our highly trained board certified (ABC) Prosthetists, Orthotists, and technicians. The staff works closely with the NMCSD physical and occupational therapists to ensure the patient receives the best possible training and outcome with each device.

Appointments are made by calling (619) 532-5760. Our Amputee and IDEO Clinics are staffed by attending Orthotists, Prosthetists, Therapists, Orthopedic Surgeons, and Physiatrists. Active duty amputees are seen with the highest priority and dependents/retirees may have to wait or be issued a referral to an approved network provider based on current workload.
