As a leader in urologic care , research, and education, the Department of Urology at Naval Medical Center San Diego provides compassionate and expert medical care related to the evaluation, treatment and management of all urinary tract and male reproductive system disorders, while training the next generation of military urologists and leaders.
The Urology clinic provides a full range of services including patient education, diagnosis, treatment and management of urological conditions. Urological conditions treated include those of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra and male genitalia. Common conditions treated include hematuria, urinary tract infections, incontinence, urinary retention, kidney stones, elevated PSA, urologic malignancies (prostate, kidney, bladder, testis, urethra, adrenal gland), prostate enlargement, male infertility, adrenal disorders, and erectile dysfunction.

The Department of Urology at Naval Medical Center San Diego provides comprehensive medical care related to the evaluation, treatment and disposition of all disorders of the urinary tract and male reproductive system.
Our facility incorporates state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and technology to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care for patients of all ages. Services provided include select radiographic imaging, urodynamic testing, cystoscopic examinations of the bladder, robotic and advanced laparoscopic surgery, open surgery, prosthetics, extra-corporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), intravenous conscious sedation and minor surgery. The clinic contains 11 exam rooms; five x-ray suites, an ESWL room, a minor surgery operative room and a recovery room.
