Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program

Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) of the Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) provides screenings/evaluations, education and treatment services for substance use disorders and co-occuring psychiatric disorders. We offer the following levels of treatment:
 
  • Screenings/Evaluations
  • Prime for Life: A 2-day psychoeducational course conducted online for those who don't meet criteria for alcohol use disorder.
  • Outpatient Treatment (Level I): A 2-week, Monday - Friday outpatient program for those diagnosed with a mild substance use disorder.
  • Intensive Outpatient Treatment (Level II): A 4 week, Monday - Friday, abstinence based intensive outpatient program for moderate substance use disorder and co-occuring psychiatric disorders.
  • Residential Treatment (Level III): A 35 day, 24/7 residential program for moderate to severe substance use disorder and co-occuring psychiatric disorders (dual disorders).

Important Notice

SARP is tobacco free for all patients. SARP provides nicotine replacement for patients in Level II and Level III.
