Clinical Clerkships
HPSP, HSCP:
Clinical clerkships are available at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego to Navy HPSP and Navy HSCP students. Clerkship requests are only accepted via email by sending the application to the Graduate Medical Education Clerkship Office on a first-come, first-serve basis, depending on availability. Most clerkships require you to be here for four full weeks. Inquire within if you are requesting a rotation for less than that. Requests for one week rotations are not approved.
HSCP students and HPSP students requesting Non-Active Duty clerkships, require a Master Affiliation Agreement to be established in order to participate. These requests must be for 4 weeks. Four - six months advanced notice needed for these requests.
*** 4th year Medical Student audition/interview rotation requests for the June-October timeframe will be accepted starting December 01 of the current year at 12 A.M. Pacific Standard Time. Due to defined spots, students are limited to one rotation between June - October. You can rotate back-to-back after mid-November.
